BIPOLARIS/DRESCHLERA

Bipolaris/Dreschlera Disease is a type of fungal disease caused by the fungus Bipolaris and Dreschlera. This disease affects both warm-season grasses and cool-season grasses in turf, particularly golf courses and home lawns.

Bipolaris/Dreschlera Disease produces small, brown to black spots on grass blades and leaf sheaths. These spots may be round, oval or irregular. In severe cases, the spots may coalesce to form large patches of dead grass. The disease can also cause thinning of the turf and increased susceptibility to other turf diseases.
